David Mennie is Scotland’s top football freestyler. At a young age David was always a skilful footballer. He learned a few basic tricks and under the influence of various tv commercials featuring freestyle football, David began to practice and master more advanced moves.

At 16, after winning a Scottish freestyle football competition to perform at the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park, David realised what he could do with his talent and continued to train until he became regarded as the best in Scotland.

At age 20 now, David has already performed extensively across the UK and in Europe, his greatest performance being at Wembley for the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final.

In 2010, David’s career really kicked off. In June, David launched the brand new adidas Scotland International kit before later heading off to perform at music festival Rockness for a weekend of shows.

David has made a number of television appearances. His first major appearance was a contestant in series two of “Wayne Rooney’s Street Striker” on Sky one where he made it all the way to the final of the show. He also featured several times on Sky one’s saturday morning show “Soccer am”.

Since then, David’s performances have taken him all across the UK, doing shows for various marketing campaigns, music festivals and a great number of football stadiums across the country. He has been involved heavily in a number of charity campaigns, including working with Celtic and Manchester United where he also performed a half time show at the legends match in 2011. A grand total of an amazing £300,000 was raised towards Oxfam’s east Africa charity appeal.

David’s driven nature has allowed him to achieve some great results; an interesting fact about David is that he actually holds a BEng degree in Architectural Engineering!

However his passion is for freestyle football and his nature results in dedicating hours of training every day. His determination and enthusiasm continuously push his limits further, granting him the ability to perform intricate and extra-ordinary displays for stage shows, promotions, advertising campaigns and corporate events whatever the occasion.

David is currently working on some interesting and innovative new projects and as a successful professional, he is continuing to think big. David believes he is just getting started!
