We are delighted to have just received the news we have met the requirements of achieving clubCAP Accreditation through Aberdeenshire Sports Council.
Another step in the right direction in bringing the best management, practices, coaching in making us a “safe, effective child friendly club” Congratulations everyone!

“Safe, effective child friendly clubs”

The effective way to demonstrate publicly that their club is an efficient well managed club which is nondiscriminatory and fosters youth development demonstrates that their club meets all the legal requirements, has a working child protection policy in place and that, all club activities are properly insured.

ClubCAP – Continuous Improvement

- ClubCAP manual provides a user friendly approach to club accreditation
- ClubCAP manual incorporates helpful templates produced by sportscotland, children 1st and other bodies
- Standard Accreditation should be readily achieved by large and small clubs whatever the sport
- Enhanced Accreditation is awarded to clubs that can demonstrate exceptional management standards
- ClubCAP is achieved by self assessment with a follow­ up visit by an external assessor
- ClubCAP is complimentary to and “dovetails” with other quality awards (SFA, Scottish Swimming, Scottish Cricket etc.)

- Access enhanced levels of grant funding from Aberdeenshire Sports Council

ClubCAP – Self Assessment

- Encourages teamwork
- Raises awareness of role played by club committee, coaches and volunteers
- Ensures an effective Child Protection Policy is in operation
- Develops an understanding of requirements for improved delivery
- Gives ownership of improvements to club members
- Brings an awareness of the need for continuous improvement

ClubCAP – External Assessment

- An external assessor will visit a clubnight/training session
- Club practices will be scored using Quest/PMP criteria
- Verbal report will be given at that time
- Followed by a written report which will give suggestions of possible areas of improvement
